XDM

The XDM is a single dish radio telescope being developed as an engineering test model for the dishes to be contructed in the Karoo. The dish was constructed at Hartebeesthoek Radio Astronomy Observatory by a South African company using composite materials.

The image below shows the recently erected dish including the feed legs, but without the feed package. More up to date pictures are available from time to time at  http://www.hartrao.ac.za/xdm.
